Fatal Hit-and-Run: Truck Located, Driver Turns Self In
Milford police said the driver who hit Barbara "Sarge" Clement may not have even known it happened when leaving the scene.
MILFORD, MA — The driver of the tractor-trailer involved in the hit-and-run that killed Town Constable Barbara "Sarge" Clement Thursday afternoon turned himself in.
Police said that given the size of the truck, the driver may not have even known Clement was hit, according to multiple reports. Charges had not been filed as of Thursday night.
The tractor-trailer hit Clement on Main Street around 3:30 p.m. Police then released photos of the vehicle and asked for the public's help in finding it. Police initially said the truck may have been headed toward Boston.
