Police said a tractor-trailer struck Clement near Milford Federal Savings and Loan. The driver fled the scene, prompting police to ask the public to help find the vehicle. The driver, who has not been identified, later turned himself in.

Police say it is possible the driver did not know he hit anyone, according to multiple reports. As of Thursday night, charges had not been filed.
