• New Accessible Walkway Opens At Milton Trolley Station (patch.com) — If you use Milton Station, you now have a safer, fully accessible sloped walkway connecting Adams Street to the platforms, officially opened Thursday. The $3.8 million MBTA project follows years of town concerns and even a lawsuit over a crumbling staircase, and local lawmakers say the new connection should finally improve daily access for commuters and nearby residents.
   

• 12th Human Case of West Nile Virus in Massachusetts; Risk Level Raised To High In Milton, Quincy (thequincysun.com) — West Nile virus risk has been raised to high in Milton and Quincy after the state confirmed its 12th human case this year, likely exposed in Norfolk County. State health officials urge Milton residents to use insect repellent, avoid peak mosquito hours, eliminate standing water, and check the state's arbovirus update page regularly as risk remains elevated until the first hard frost.
