Boston Man Sentenced for Drug Incident at Trailside Museum

Boston man found guilty of drugged driving
Ali Jean, 24, of 11 Vasser St., Apt. 1, Boston was found guilty in Quincy District Court of driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, assault and battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.
A judge sentenced Jean to two years in the Norfolk County House of Correction in Dedham. The charges stem from an Aug. 13, 2010 incident in Milton when state Police on routine patrol spotted two parked vehicle at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum after hours.

An officer noticed Jean had a clear plastic bag in his lap with "vegetable matter" and there was a strong odor of burnt marijuana. Police also recovered a bag containing a brown powder believed to be heroin.

Allan A. Briggs, 28, of 40 Humphreys St., Boston had a charge of driving with license suspended dismissed in Quincy District Court on his agreement to pay $250 in court costs. The charge stems from an Aug. 22, 2011 incident in Milton at 4:33 p.m. when police observed a vehicle traveling 50 mph. A speeding charge was placed on file.
Milton man charged with stealing from disabled person
Brian J. Garside, 35, of 780 Canton Ave., Milton was arraigned on charges of uttering a false check, two counts of larceny over $250 from a disabled person age 60 or over, and two counts of forgery of a check.
Garside pleaded not guilty and was released. The case was continued to May 7. The charges stem from a Dec. 15, 2011 incident in Milton when the victim reported $4,200 in checks were stolen by a relative.
