Cocaine in His Pants: Convicted Dealer Arrested on Martha's Vineyard from Milton

A Milton man with a cocaine-dealing conviction was nabbed by Island drug agents as he arrived in Vineyard Haven Tuesday night, according to Island newspapers.

Updated: According to a report in the Vineyard Gazette, Jesurum is from Milton; the original Times report indicated he was from Boston.

Fernando Jesurum didn't know it till Tuesday night, but Martha's Vineyard and mainland drug agents have been keeping an eye on the 26-year-old Milton man's movements for the past eight months, according to a report in the Martha's Vineyard Times.

Jesurum, a convicted cocaine dealer who has served a five-year prison sentence, had been shuttling drugs to the Island, where agents advised of his latest trip were waiting for him at the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal Tuesday night, the Times reports.

A bag of cocaine stuffed into Jesurum's pants burst and spilled on the ground as he was being taken into custody, according to the Times, which reports that Jesurum's bail was set at $40,000 Wednesday in Edgartown District Court where he was to be arraigned Thursday morning.
