Police Log: Church Window Broken, Bicyclist Struck by Car

  • At 7:27 p.m. Friday, Stanley Security reported a burglar alarm at Pius X Church. An officer confirmed a broken window. Officers searched the building and did not locate anyone. The caretaker was notified to secure the window and reset the alarm.
  • At 8:09 p.m. Friday, multiple 911 callers reported a four-car accident at Blue Hill Avenue and Dollar Lane. Blue Hills Towing removed three vehicles from the scene. No injuries were reported.
  • At 9:57 p.m. Friday, an officer reported a Thacher Street resident turned in a found wallet. The item was brought to the station. No contact information for the property owner was found.
  • At 4:18 a.m. Saturday, the Boston Police Department requested the Milton PD notify the registered owner of a vehicle that was found stripped and abandoned in their jurisdiction.
  • At 3:39 p.m. Saturday, a 911 caller reported a vehicle struck a party on a bicycle on Reedsdale Road. The caller reported the bicyclist was walking to the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton Emergency Room. An officer located both parties involved.
  • At 11:43 a.m. Sunday, a caller from Highland Street reported jewelry had been taken from his home sometime between Monday and Thursday.
  • At 8:52 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported three stray dogs on Hillside Street. The caller was able to hold one black lab. The Animal Control Officer was notified to retrieve the animal.
  • At 11:11 p.m. Sunday, an officer reported multiple broken bottles near Blue Hill Avenue and Churchill Street. The DPW was notified for cleanup.
