Police Log: False Check, Missing Manhole Damages Car

The following information was provided by the Milton Police Department.

• At 2:14 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a party attempted to cash a falsified check at Citizens Bank on Granite Avenue. One party was placed under arrest.
• At 9:23 p.m. Friday, a caller reported an open manhole on Randolph Avenue and Reed Street. An officer confirmed the report. A vehicle was towed from the scene. Mass. Highway was notified.
• At 11:37 p.m. Friday, a 911 caller reported a Volvo SUV, possibly silver, struck a stone wall on Mathaurs Street and left the scene without making themselves known.
