• Nahant wins legal battle against Northeastern's campus expansion (huntnewsnu.com) — Nahant has won a major legal battle at the state's highest court, which ruled the town can use eminent domain to protect land around Northeastern University's Marine Science Center for public recreation. The decision halts Northeastern's proposed campus expansion after years of local pushback and lawsuits, and now town officials must decide how to move forward while weighing costs for Nahant taxpayers and future collaboration with the university. 
• Seaglass Village Moves to Larger Space as Membership and Volunteer Needs Grow (swampscotttides.org) — Older residents in Nahant now have expanded support as Seaglass Village moves into a larger office and grows its programs serving Nahant, Swampscott, and Marblehead. The nonprofit offers rides to appointments, social activities, and reduced-cost memberships for income-eligible women, and is urgently seeking volunteer drivers and new members, with an upcoming Volunteer Roundtable on September 14 at the Clarke School.
