Natick Police Show Support For Quincy Boy Battling Cancer
Natick's School Resource Officer made a stop at Quinn Waters home to show support for his battle and for his police officer mother.

NATICK, MA — Natick's police department showed support for their fellow officer a town away in Quincy this week. Two Natick officers visited Quinn Waters, a three-year-old boy who is isolated at home while he battles brain cancer — Waters is the son of Tara Waters, a Quincy police officer.
Last February, Quinn was diagnosed with a brain tumor, known as medulloblastoma, shortly after his third birthday. Since the diagnosis, 95 percent of the tumor has been removed, but chemotherapy has left him home bound. His story garnered national attention, with residents and police departments from around the commonwealth visiting Quinn's window to entertain him and offer support. Waters even had a visit from the Dropkick Murphys.
Natick officers joined fellow officers visiting Quinn, who has been dubbed, The Mighty Quinn, and posted the experience on the department Facebook page. "It would be difficult to describe to most, the relationship between police officers, regardless if we actually know one another," the post reads, "Well, today, we understand exactly what that means."

The Natick officers were part of a large effort organized by neighboring departments to show police support for Quinn, his fight against cancer and his mother. He was handed patches from different departments, a state police license plate and a motorized motorcycle that looked like a Quincy Police Department bike.
A Facebook page made to give updates on Water's progress shared photos and thank you's on the page in a post.
