2017 Needham 4th Of July Parade And Fireworks: What You Need To Know
It's going to be two days of fun down at Memorial Park.
NEEDHAM, MA — With the Fourth of July just about here, Needham is getting ready for their own celebration!
This year, the Needham 4th of July fireworks will take place on July 3 at 9 p.m. at Memorial Park. The next morning will feature a full day's worth of events including the parade, races, and the little league baseball all-star game!

July 3

All events located at Memorial Park.
- 5:00 p.m. - Food tents, children's entertainment
- 7:00 p.m. - Concert by Reminisants
- Dark: - Fireworks spectacular
July 4
- 8:30 a.m. - YMCA 5k road race (starts at the library)
- 8:30 a.m. - Craft fair and flea market (Memorial Park)
- 8:45 a.m. - Children's Parade (Greene's Field)
- 9:00 a.m. - Salute and flag raising (Town Common)
- 9:05 a.m. - 4th of July Parade
- 11:30 a.m. - Children's pie eating contest and events
- 1:00 p.m. - Needham Little League Baseball game
Road Closures
July 3
- Highland Avenue will be closed between Carey Road and Oakland Avenue starting at 7 p.m. and will be impassable until 11 p.m.
- Rosemary Street will be closed from Webster Street to Highland Avenue starting at 5 p.m.
- Rosemary Street will be closed from Hillside Avenue to Highland Avenue starting at 7:15 p.m.
- Kingsbury Street will be closed from Webster Street to Oakland Avenue starting at 5 p.m.
- All other roads will be open but will be extremely congested with traffic.
- Webster St: will remain open will be crowded and impassable after the fireworks from about 9:45 -10:45 p.m.
July 4
- Great Plain Avenue will be closed from Webster Street to Garden Streets 8 - 11:30 a.m.
- Highland Avenue between Hunnewell Street and Great Plain Avenue will be closed from 8:00 a.m. until about 11:30 a.m.
- Webster Street will be closed between High Street and May Street from 8 -1 1:30 a.m.
