Needham Memorial Day Ceremony, Parade To Honor Those Who Sacrificed

The following is the schedule for Memorial Day in Needham, from the Town of Needham:

• 6:50 a.m. - Memorial mass at St. Joseph’s Parish
• 8:15 a.m. - Services at the police station and fire department on Chestnut and School Streets
• 9:00 a.m. - Brief ceremony and the placing of a wreath and flag raising at St. Mary’s Cemetery
• 9:45 a.m. - Flag raising ceremony and the placing of a wreath at Vietnam Veterans Memorial at Sunset and Cefalo Roads
• 10:30 a.m. - Flag raising ceremony and the placing of a wreath at Needham Cemetery
• Taps will be played as part of the traditional ceremonies
• 11:00 a.m. - Parade will form on Nehoiden Street and proceed to the common
• 11:20 a.m. - Flag raising ceremony and placing of a wreath at the common
• 11:45 a.m. - Parade reforms on Highland Avenue and then proceeds along to Memorial Park
• 12:30 p.m. Collation at VFW, 20 Junction St. All are welcomed
