11th Annual Hub On Wheels Citywide Bike Ride

Thousands of cyclists of all ages to ride throughout streets of Boston, including a car-free Storrow Drive

The 11th annual Hub On Wheels citywide ride, presented by Boston’s Office of Special Events in cooperation with Boston Bikes, once again takes to the streets on Sunday, September 20, giving cycling enthusiasts and families of all ages unprecedented access to explore historic Boston. Riders can chose from three different fully supported and safe courses, each offering cyclists the opportunity to coast through some of Boston’s most eclectic neighborhoods – including a car-free Storrow Drive.

The ride starts and finishes at City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston, with 10-, 30- and 50-mile route options filled with harbor views, hidden pathways and river greenways. Fruit, water and light snacks will be provided for riders at various stops throughout each course. Following the ride, cyclists will have access to the Hub on Wheels post-event Block Party, featuring live music and a beer garden, sponsored by Harpoon Brewery.

The Hub On Wheels ride is part of the city’s annual weekend cycling celebration, which also includes the 7th annual TD Bank Mayor’s Cup pro cycling race and festival, held on Saturday, September 19 at City Hall Plaza. The TD Bank Mayor’s Cup – also free to the public – will feature nearly 200 of the cycling world’s top professional racers, including former Olympians and national champions.
