138 Newton Seniors Awarded Seal of Biliteracy

Earlier this month, 138 Newton seniors were awarded The Seal of Biliteracy. The seal is a designation created through a partnership between the World Languages Department and the English Language Learners program. It recognizes students for proficiency in two languages - English and a partner language - at the silver, gold, or platinum levels. 138 seniors earned the designation this year. Students were honored by Superintendent Fleishman, Mayor Ruthanne Fuller, their principals, and their teachers, in ceremonies at North and South High School.
