Atrius Health, an alliance of five community-based medical groups serving nearly 700,000 patients throughout eastern Massachusetts, welcomes Dr. Beverly Loudin as medical director for patient safety and risk management.
Dr. Loudin, a resident of Auburndale and board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and a master of public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to joining Atrius Health, Dr. Loudin was the director of patient safety and quality for North Shore Physicians Group in Salem, MA. Dr. Loudin began her career as a staff obstetrician-gynecologist at Mt. Auburn Hospital. She went on to found and become the president of Mt. Auburn Women’s Health Associates, a small private practice in Watertown. After joining the department of OB/GYN at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in 1995, she served as the medical director of Fresh Pond Women’s Health Associates. Dr. Loudin took at position as an assistant medical director at Tufts Health Plan in 1998 where she became involved in patient safety and quality.
