Aronson Joins Boys & Girls Club Board

Steven Aronson of Aronson Insurance joins the Board of Directors of The John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton to help Newton Kids

Over the years, thousands of young people have gravitated towards John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club as a place to learn, play, and grow. Recent years have seen a particularly robust growth pattern both in terms of program offerings and budgetary expansion. Much of this can be attributed to the Club’s energetic, all volunteer, Board of Directors, made up of influential individuals ingrained in the surrounding community. The Board is pleased to welcome its newest member, Steve Aronson.

The mission of the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club is to enable young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Prior to agreeing to team up with the Boys and Girls Club, Steve served as a member of several other Boards, including the Jewish National Fund (New England chapter), Temple Beth Avodah, Newton Community Pride, and NetVU. In his professional life, Steve has had a highly successful career as an insurance agent and executive, and currently serves as President of Aronson Insurance, a local agency that employs 25 agents and was founded by Steve’s grandfather.

A lifelong Newton resident, Steve and his wife Risa currently reside in Newton Centre and are deeply committed to helping their community. They have three children and three grandchildren who live in Brighton, Cambridge, and Chicago. With his strong background in finance and management and passion for charitable work, Steve is expected to be a productive board member who will help assure a strong financial future for the Club.
