BURYING GROUNDS CLEAN-UP
It’s time for our late-fall cleanup of the East Parish Burying Ground one of Newton’s most historic spaces, the largest and oldest of Newton’s three city-owned historic burying grounds. The main tasks are raking leaves, collecting rubbish and fallen limbs, and clipping shrubs and plants that are encroaching on the tombstones. Please bring rakes, gloves or tarps if you have them, if you have them and wear appropriate footwear for uneven ground! Come for the whole time or as long as you can!
