Cello/Piano Duo Amie Concert to Benefit Rosie’s Place In Newton

NEWTON, MA – Duo Amie, a Boston area based cello/piano duo founded by Julie Reimann and Ellyses Kuan, will perform their latest chamber music concert, El Corazon De La Rosa/Spirit of Tango, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 4 2017 at Wilson Chapel, located at 234 Herrick Road in Newton.

The concert benefits Rosie’s Place, the first women’s shelter in the United States. Every year, Rosie's Place helps 12,000 poor and homeless women in Boston maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Rosie’s Place relies solely on the kind support of individuals, foundations and corporations; 88 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to a wide range of services for poor and homeless women.

The Spanish-themed performance will include Piazzola's Le Grand Tango, Cassado's Suite for Solo Cello and Requiebros, Manuel de Falla's Suite Popular Espagnole, and works by Granados, including Allegro de Concierto. 100% of concert proceeds will benefit Rosie’s Place.

Tickets and Details

The concert will begin promptly at 4:00 pm. Parking is available behind the chapel and on the street in front. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students, and are available at the door. Donations and advance ticket purchases also can be made online at spirit-of-tango.eventbrite.com.
