Focusing Through a Different Lens

Newton-Wellesley Hospital Physicians Display Photography

A photography exhibit featuring the work of 13 physicians recently opened at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Sponsored by the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation, the exhibit is located on the first floor, South Corridor and runs through February 2017.

Featuring 39 photographs depicting a wide range of subjects and scenes, from convertibles in Cuba to a sunset on the Serengeti, thirteen of the fourteen photographers are physicians from NWH, including President Michael R. Jaff, DO.

“This exhibit has transformed a hospital hallway into a leisurely stroll that brings a smile to people's faces,“ said Jay Cohen, MD, a dermatologist on staff at NWH and a featured photographer. “I've witnessed patients, visitors and staff pause to observe the exhibit. It gives people a sense of community, enables us to start conversations with patients, and makes our hospital an even more welcoming place.”
