Gentle Sawyer Needs a New Home

Each week the Gifford Cat Shelter features one of their resident cats ready for adoption.

Sawyer is a gorgeous 9 year old cat who was surrendered by her previous family because the high energy of their young children made her nervous. Sawyer is a little timid, but she genuinely likes people. She adores head scratches, and is especially fond of chin rubs! Sawyer doesn’t love other cats, so she’d be happiest as an only kitty. In a quiet home Sawyer will thrive - she just needs someone to give her the love she deserves and desires! If you’re looking for a gentle sweetheart, look no further than Sawyer!

If you are interested in meeting Sawyer or any of the cats at The Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter, visit our website (www.giffordcatshelter.org). While you’re there, you can fill out an online adoption application for Sawyer and learn more about our shelter. You can also call us at 617-787-8872.

The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and injured cats with the goal of re-homing and ending the needless killing of community and companion cats. It was the first cageless, no-kill shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
