Indian Restaurant Opens Third MA Location In Chestnut Hill

The Newton location opened on Monday, March 2.

NEWTON, MA — Madras Dosa Co., an Indian street food restaurant, opened its newest location Monday at The Street Chestnut Hill on 55 Boylston Street next to Madison Reed and Aquitaine. The new Newton location offers an open-kitchen setup where guests can observe their food being prepared.

Madras Dosa Co. features a menu of customizable dosas, idly, chaat, pulao, and sandwiches. The restaurant provides options for dining from daytime through late night, operating daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The menu is designed to accommodate various dietary preferences, with naturally gluten-free dosas and vegan, vegetarian, and meat options also available. According to the business, all of its batters, chutneys, and sauces are homemade.

In celebration of its grand opening, Madras Dosa Co. is offering special promotions. On Tuesday, March 3, the first 50 customers will receive a free Masala Dosa. Customers can get a free Mango Lassi or dessert with any purchase the following three days. A buy one dosa, get one free promotion will run from March 7 to March 8. Additionally, students with a valid ID can receive 10 percent off any purchase from Monday, March 9 through Sunday, March 15.

The Street's General Manager Emmy Parsons said that the pot is a great addition to Chestnut Hill's restaurant roster.

"From their vibrant flavors to their late-night service, they offer something new for our guests, and we’re excited to welcome them to the property," Parsons said.

Madras Dosa Co. also provides catering services, including pickup, delivery, and fully staffed onsite experiences with live dosa and chaat stations. This location marks the third in Massachusetts with the other two in Boston's Seaport area and the neighboring city of Cambridge. Multiple spots are also present in New York City and New Jersey.
