Newton Schools Foundation To Host 2nd Annual Trivia Night

The fundraiser is scheduled to take place in mid-March.

NEWTON, MA – Community members are invited to test their knowledge and help provide resources for educators in the Newton Public Schools through The Newton Schools Foundation's second annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 13 at the American Legion Nonantum Post 440 on 295 California St. According to the NSF, the event's proceeds will fund grants for teachers to bring innovative programs and educational approaches to students in the Newton Public Schools.

NSF is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that partners with the Newton Public School district. Since 1985, NSF has provided more than $4 million in grants to teachers and staff across all 22 Newton schools. These grants have supported initiatives from preschool through high school, including Take-a-Break spaces, language learning tools, and instructional leadership training.

Last year's inaugural Trivia Night saw approximately 160 people participate. The funds raised helped NSF provide 42 grants totaling more than $160,000, benefiting students across all Newton schools.
