Izzy Your New Best Friend?? Maybe Yes!
Each week the Gifford Cat Shelter features one of their resident cats ready for adoption.

Izzy, an 8-year old male, is a bit shy at the shelter but he is a total sweetheart! His owner had health issues that kept her from continuing to care for him, and he is used to a nice quiet house. The shelter is such a different environment that he has had some trouble adjusting, but he's starting to come out of his shell more every day! He responds well to petting and attention, and is such a gentle kitty. Izzy has been starting to explore his enclosure when volunteers that he knows sit with him, so we think he'll continue to blossom into an outgoing guy once he knows he has a forever family!
If you are interested in meeting Izzy or any of the cats at The Ellen M. Gifford Cat Shelter, visit our website (www.giffordcatshelter.org). While you’re there, you can fill out an online adoption application for Izzy and learn more about our shelter. You can also call us at 617-787-8872.
The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and injured cats with the goal of re-homing and ending the needless killing of community and companion cats. It was the first cageless, no-kill shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
