Jewish Unity Concert
Unite with the Greater Boston Jewish Community through song & music with a concert featuring world-renowned Avraham Fried!

“Unity through Music”
Hundreds of Jewish community members in the greater Boston area will gather on Sunday, November 15th, at 6:30 PM for an evening of Jewish pride and unity through music and song with world renowned Jewish superstar Avraham Fried. Considered to be the Number One musical performer in the Jewish world, Fried has entertained audiences all over the globe to enthusiastic reviews and will be performing for the first time in Boston in honor of the Jewish “Year of Gathering.”
In Biblical times, the entire Jewish nation assembled every seven years in the holy temple courtyard, to hear the king address the people and exhort them in the study of Torah and service of G-d. “In our generation,” explains Rabbi Chaim Prus, “the Lubavitcher Rebbe has encouraged us to revisit the nearly forgotten tradition of these hakhel gatherings, and organize similar events to inspire and invigorate.” He emphasizes that “one of the most fundamental aspects of hakhel [literally, “Assemble!”] was that it emphasized unity and included everyone: man, woman and child. We thus hope to reach out and invite all Jews to participate, regardless of religious background or affiliation.”
From Boston to Beijing, from Israel to Argentina, Jewish communities have reconnected with this ancient tradition and have sought ways to unite in this auspicious year.

“We thought music would be the perfect way to bring the community together,” says Rabbi Prus. “Avraham Fried’s music integrates many styles of popular Jewish music, including classic, pop, rock and jazz, and will definitely appeal to the diverse Jewish community.”
The concert will take place in the heart of Boston at the John Hancock Hall, 180 Berkeley St, Boston, MA 02116, on November 15 at 6:30 P.M.
