Local dentist performs dentistry for orphans in India

Dr. Kendrick Brede treats hundreds of AIDS infected orphans in India every year

The Metropolitan District Dental Society is proud to recognize Dr. Kendrick Brede of Needham, Massachusetts for his participation in an international volunteer dental mission to Hyderbad, India. For the past 11 years, Dr. Brede has been donating his dental services to the Agape International orphanage(http://www.agapeintl.org). Forty percent of these children are infected with HIV. Dr. Brede and his volunteer staff treat over 250 residents of the orphanage. In the week that they are there, they provide restorative, surgical, and preventative services. For most of the children, Dr. Brede is their only opportunity to receive dental care. Congratulations again to Dr. Brede for donating his time, expertise and money to help combat dental disease to those less fortunate around the world.
