Massage Envy Newton Raises Thousands for Arthritis Foundation

Over thirty Massage Envy clinics came together last month to raise over $20k to support Arthritis research nationwide.

On September 16, Massage Envy locations nationwide hosted the 5th annual Healing Hands for Arthritis® event, raising money to champion the Foundation’s efforts to conquer arthritis through life-changing information, advocacy, science and community. In the Massachusetts region (which includes MA, NH, VT and ME), over 300 therapists from the 32 clinics throughout the region gave 1,460 massages and raised $20,709 for The Arthritis Foundation.

Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in America, affecting one in five adults and more than 300,000 children. Massage therapy has proved to help alleviate the pain and swelling caused by arthritis, improving flexibility and circulation and reducing stress and anxiety.
