New Restaurant Headed For Newton's Needham Street
District 118 Restaurant and Bar is aiming for an April opening, according to their Facebook page.

NEWTON, MA — Several months after the owners of Mick Morgan's and Grande Kitchen closed their doors on Needham Street, a new kitchen looks set to open in the same space.
District 118 Kitchen + Bar is set to open in the space formerly occupied by Grande Kitchen + Bar and Mick Morgan. And the name of the establishment appears to be a nod to that location (118 Needham Street).
According to a post on Monster.com and the restaurant's Facebook page they're hiring with an aim to an April opening.

"We are a chef-driven concept with local, fresh ingredients making up our seasonal menu," reads the post on the job site about nine days ago.
Sallee Lipshutz who first posted the news to the Village 14 blog said she checked out the space herself and found it appears to have a number of folks behind the new place.

"A note on the front door had a sign saying they would open soon and was signed by five or six people, first names only…I don’t know if they are new owners or the former ones," she said.
Mick Morgan's opened there in 2009, but reinvented itself as Grande Kitchen + Bar in the summer of 2017 but only made it a few months before Grande Kitchen closed down.
Patch reached out to the owners but no one immediately returned request for comment. On Facebook, the restaurant lists a website, but that website does not appear to be live.

We'll update when they get back to us.
