Newton Allowing Prepayment of 2018 Taxes

For any residents wishing to prepay 2018 real estate taxes, please be advised that February and May 2018 taxes can be paid now. The real estate taxes may either be paid online here or in person at the Treasury Department window in City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave).

Please do not pay by US mail as the payment might not be credited to calendar year 2017. If you need advice about whether prepaying real estate taxes is beneficial to you financially, you should consult a tax accountant.
