Be our guest as we recreate the 1780s Berlin Salon of the brilliant young Jewish pianist, Sara Levy. The daughter of Daniel Itzig a banker with close ties to Frederick the Great, and pupil of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Levy had the means, and the musicianship to make her weekly salon events among the greatest in all of northern Europe. Just as her guests did, we will enjoy a program of Sinfonies, Concerti, Sonatas and Opera Excerpts including, Emanuel Bach’s Sinfonie in B Minor Wq 182/5 and Flute Concerto in D Minor Wq 22, excerpts from the Berlin Opera and more.
