Newton *FREE* Swap Day, Sat. September 23, 2017 Newton Swap Day: bring usable stuff you no longer need and pick up free stuf

Free stuff at 115 Rumford Ave., Newton, on Sat. September 23, 2017! Bring unwanted items, take away great items! Newton ID required.

Newton Swap Day is on Saturday, September 23 from 8am-2pm and is free! Save your stuff for this money saving, eco-friendly event at the Newton Recycling Depot (145 Rumford Ave).
Bring usable but unwanted belongings for swapping or donating or just pick something up – for free! • Appliances – Bicycles – Books • Household items and non-upholstered furniture (No mattresses or couches) • NO computer monitors, NO televisions, NO hazardous materials • Pretty much anything, so long as it is usable, non-toxic, non-hazardous – and clean!

  • Newton residents only (ID required)
  • Hours for drop off 8am-12pm
  • Hours for pick-up from 8am-2pm
  • Rain or shine

Volunteers are needed!

You can also bring books to the Book Swap Shed on Swap Day or during regular Depot hours – Mon-Sat 7:30am-2:30pm and closed Sundays/holidays. Proof of Newton residency required.
Recycling and Reuse…bring along any of the following and the City of Newton will make sure that they are recycled, re-used, given to charity or disposed of safely. • Fluorescent bulbs and other mercury-containing items • Cell phones, all printer cartridges, CDs, DVDs • Clothing • Paper, cardboard, glass, metal, stiff plastic bottles (#1 – 7) • Dead rechargeable batteries
