Newton at Home and Keyes Drug to Present Free Health & Wellness Lecture

Medication Administration and Safe Storage to be Discussed

On Wednesday, October 4 from 10:30am- 12 noon, Newton at Home and Keyes Drug will present: Medication Storage and Administration, at the Scandinavian Living Center on Waltham Street in Newton. Newton at Home’s Health & Wellness Series is sponsored by Keyes Drug and is the first of three lectures being presented this year by Keyes Drug pharmacists.

The free program will cover a range of topics, from the proper methods of medication storage to the safest ways to administer medication. Medication adherence, to ensure that patients stay compliant with their prescribed regimen, and medication security, to prevent medications from falling into the wrong hands, will also be addressed. These are important practices that are vital to patient safety and patient health.

About the speaker: Raied Dinno, RPh is a registered pharmacist and co-owner of Acton Pharmacy, West Concord Pharmacy and Keyes Drug. In this role, he manages the day-to-day pharmacy operations and ensures that the pharmacies provide the highest quality services for its patients and customers. Ray is also the president and owner of Dinno Pharmaceuticals, Inc. which developed the pharmacies’ signature diaper rash ointment, Baby Ease, which was trademarked and patented in 2007. He served as president of the Massachusetts Independent Pharmacy Association from 2008 to 209. He currently serves on the board of the Auburndale Community Association. Ray was named Pharmacist of the Month by the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA). He received his B.S. degree in pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he is a preceptor for pharmacy students.
