As chair of the U.S. Conference of Mayors Community Development and Housing Committee, Mayor Setti Warren is convening a two-day conference on Oct. 7 and 8 to bring together leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors from across the country to launch the new âEconomic Growth for Allâ initiative to strengthen pathways to the middle class and beyond, according to an announcement.
Panelists and participants discuss what is being done to connect people with the economic opportunities they and their families need to be financially independent. The discussion will be centered on the initiativeâs framework for bringing together leadership across the public, nonprofit, and business sectors to use data to develop strategies to promote the innovation economy in a way that provides access to economic growth for all.
âThe Economic Growth For Allâ initiative is based on research from The Brookings Institution and Boston College Center for Retirement Research that Mayor Warren brought together to develop a policy framework that mayors and other leaders can use to inform their decision-making using solid data and research.
