Newton Mayoral Race: What Questions Do You Have For The Candidates?
The League of Women Voters wants questions from Newton residents ahead of the forum. What do you want to know before you vote?

NEWTON, MA — Next week, on Aug. 9, the seven candidates for mayor are headed to NewTV for the first of a series of Candidates Forums that the League of Women Voters of Newton and the cable access TV station will be sponsoring before the elections. But here's where you come in. The League of Women Voters wants questions from Newton residents for the forum and are asking folks write in with questions for the candidates.
"We will likely combine questions to cover a variety of topics with a large number of candidates in a limited amount of time," said Sue Flicop of the League she said the more questions the better.

While there is no live audience in the studio, people can watch the show live in the NewTV conference room, or the overflow room if it is needed. NewTV will post the forum on their website as soon as possible after, and will be broadcasting it as often as possible before the preliminary election.
The league will have volunteers who do not support any of the candidates sorting the questions, and, as always, their moderator will be a League member from another community.
