NewTV Annual Meeting/Red Carpet Awards Rescheduled

NewTV's 27th Annual Membership Meeting and Red Carpet Awards has been rescheduled. It will now be on April 4 at 6:00pm. It will still be held at their studio at 23 Needham Street in Newton. There will be an annual report, refreshments and two nominees will be elected to the NewTV Board of Directors. Awards will also be presented to honor the hard work of members from 2017.

Ballots will be distributed to members in good standing the night of the event. New members must have joined NewTV by February 21, 2018 to be eligible to vote. Existing members' dues must be paid by March 28 to exercise voting privileges. If you are unable to attend this membership meeting, ballots by proxy are available. Please contact Cheryl Uttaro at cherylu@newtv.org. Any members interested in running for these open seats should be prepared to make a brief presentation at the meeting, citing who they are and why they should be considered.

NewTV members will also be recognized for their achievements in the previous year. Among the awards presented will be the Community Producer of the Year Award, the Volunteer of the Year Award, the Program of the Year Award and the Series of the Year Award. NewTV's Scholarships will also be announced. Members of the community have voted for the Viewers' Choice Award, and the winner will be revealed at this event.
