NewTV Receives 17 Boston/New England Emmy® Nominations

NewTV received 17 Boston/New England Emmy® Award nominations for its three original programs: American Ruins, Assassin Nation and Heroes Around Us. The nominations were announced Monday, April 9 and awards will be presented at the 41st Boston/New England Emmy Awards Ceremony on Saturday, June 2.

This is the seventh consecutive year NewTV has been nominated by the Academy. The original program The Folklorist previously received nine Emmys®.

American Ruins, which received a total of eight nominations, explores abandoned landmarks across the United States. Assassin Nation exposes the details behind assassination attempts made on American presidents. This program received seven nominations. Heroes Around Us, a collaboration with Many Hats Productions that received two nominations, highlights true stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
