No Great Fall for Newton School's Humpty Dumpty: Report

The sculpture will either remain in its current location or be relocated to a more visible one.

NEWTON, MA - Keep all the king's horses and all the king's men at bay for now - not that they were ever much help.

The statue of Humpty Dumpty at Newtonville's Cabot Elementary School will not need to be put back together again, as building committee members decided they will either leave it be or move it to a more visible location as the plan to build a new gym moves forward, the Boston Globe reported.

At a meeting Thursday, the Cabot School Building Committee decided to move forward with the original design for the expansion, despite concerns that a new gym would obscure the iconic facade, according to the Globe.

The original plan was approved in April but temporarily put on hold as City Council and building committee member Susan Albright spearheaded an alternative design that would prevent potential opposition to the idea of obstructing the facade.

In the end, Albright acknowledged there was not enough time to remedy key flaws in the newest plan, and the committee voted to move forward with the original design, according to the Globe.
