Sanctuary City Discussion Is a Distraction From Real Citywide Concerns

Newton City Councilors should stop fooling around with their sanctuary city ordinance, and address Newton's $1.4 Billion Borrowing Binge

The Sanctuary City discussion is a fraud, a shill, a deception, and a waste of time. Instead of pretending

that immigration is a matter for Newton government, let me remind the administration and council that

Newton's 1.4 BILLION-plus- dollar-and- GROWING debt is the rightful matter for their focus. If they cannot

manage properly and deal with Newton’s deceptive and dangerous debt growth, they should resign and

seek jobs with some Federal immigration agency where their thoughts may be relevant. In the

meantime, the administration and council need to get over their foppish self-aggrandizement and get

down to the business of serving Newton taxpayers, for a change.
