Second Annual NewTV Teamwork Trivia Challenge Event Major Success
NewTV held its 2nd annual Teamwork Trivia Challenge on September 30, 2016 and it successfully raised money for internships and scholarships.
On September 30, 2016 NewTV held its second annual Teamwork Trivia Challenge event at the Hibernian Hall in Watertown. Guests participated in a lively game of trivia and also enjoyed a silent auction, a photo booth, dinner from The Chateau and coffee from Dunkin Donuts. All of the teams showed their competitive spirit as they worked together to answer a variety of trivia questions. The tables featured centerpieces with board games, which were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Newton.
“We are ecstatic with the turnout for our second annual Teamwork Trivia Challenge,” said Robert S. Kelly, executive director of NewTV. “Most of our friends who attended the inaugural event last year happily returned because they love the team competition and fun time surrounding it. Once again The Village Bank stepped up as a Gold Sponsor and many others contributed auction items, food donations and table sponsorships to support the internship/scholarship program at NewTV. My hat is off to Fattman Productions for being the first place team two years in a row. Let us see if they can three-peat.”
Former NewTV interns have gone on to successful careers in their chosen field. Many have attributed some of that success to their time at NewTV. Scott Fleishman, Sports Reporter/Anchor at WCAX-TV in Burlington, VT and previous NewTV intern reflected, “Everything I have done over the last 15 years all started with the skills I learned at NewTV.”
