Shelly and Golden Will Fill Your Home With Twice the Love!

Each week the Gifford Cat Shelter features one (this week two!) of their resident cats ready for adoption.

Shelly, a 5 year old polydactyl tuxedo, is kind and fun-loving. She loves treats (a lot!) and is quite playful. Shelly is shy but she really likes people, and is quickly learning to appreciate human touch, especially chin scratches. She is very food motivated, and treats are a great way to gain her trust!

Shelly is bonded with her best friend Golden so they will have to go home as a pair. Golden is a gentle, good-hearted girl with a temperament similar to Shelly. She loves treats and playing as well as exploring. She also likes human company and will either look at you wanting to play or will sleep peacefully to the sound of people around her.

Shelley and Golden would love a forever home with an experienced cat owner who can provide them with consistent attention to help them thrive. In return, this sweet twosome will fill your home with a double dose of love and companionship!

The mission of Gifford Cat Shelter is to provide a safe haven for abandoned, stray, abused, neglected, unwanted and injured cats with the goal of re-homing and ending the needless killing of community and companion cats. It was the first cageless, no-kill shelter in the country and has been in existence since 1884.
