A study conducted by CollegeStats.org analyzed Democrat and Republican keyword mentions in tweets posted on or near college campuses.

NEWTON, MA - College campuses are often rife with political activism - students are challenged and exposed to competing and sometimes radical ideas throughout their years in higher education.
Now, technology offers people the opportunity to take to social media with their activism, which the nation's youngest voters are embracing in droves. Â
Students at Lasell College are using Twitter to sound off on their political leanings, which according to a recent study are predominantly liberal.Â
