Power Restored in Newton After Outages Surpassed 7,000

Eversource Energy reported that power has been restored in the city following a rash of outages on Monday. At one point 7,239 of its customers were without power, but that number has since dropped to around 2,000, the company reported. Eversource serves 39,949 in the city.
