2 Injured In Tractor-trailer Crash On I-95 In Newton
The truck and car were wedged horizontally across the highway.
NEWTON, MA — A significant motor vehicle accident temporarily shut down a portion of the northbound side of Interstate 95 Friday afternoon, according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Two people suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5. Both parties were in seperate cars that were affected by the crash.
The crash reportedly occurred between a tractor-trailer truck and multiple smaller vehicles at approximately 12 p.m. between mile marker 38 and 38.4, causing what MassDOT has described as significant delays.
The cause of the crash and whether any injuries occurred has yet to be revealed. MassDOT told Patch that all lanes were reopened by 1:05 p.m.
