North Andover Starts Search For New Town Manager

Andrew Maylor's replacement could be hired by mid-May.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- The Select Board unanimously accepted the resignation of Town Manager Andrew Maylor, who is leaving Feb. 17 to accept an appointment from Gov. Charlie Baker to serve as the state comptroller. The board also named North Andover finance director Lyn Savage acting town manager while the search is conducted.

Selectwoman Regina Kean told the Eagle-Tribune, which first reported this story, that she expects the search could be completed by mid-May. The selectmen also decided Tuesday to appoint a five-member search committee, with each member of the Select Board being allowed to name one member to the committee.
