Sisters Charged With Prostitution at EconoLodge, Advertised on Backpage.com
Two women allegedly advertised services on backpage.com, and worked out of the motel in Northborough.

Two sisters are facing charges after police say they were working as prostitutes out of the Econo Lodge Motel in Northborough.
Northborough police, on Sept. 22, arrested Krystle Besso, 28, Worcester, and Sarah Besso, 32, of Webster, each with one count of sexual conduct for a fee. There were also outstanding warrants out for Krystle.
Police received information that the two sisters were working as prostitutes at the Econo Lodge and advertising their services on backpage.com under the “escort” section.

An undercover detective set up an “appointment” at the motel with both women, and he was told by one to bring $200 in cash and condoms. The detective received a text from one to meet him at a particular room at the motel. When the detective arrived, he handed one of them a sum of cash, after which point both were arrested.
They are to be arraigned at Westborough District Court.

It is not the first time both the EconoLodge and backpage.com have been linked in prostitution cases. A woman from NY was arrested in the summer of 2012 for conducting her services out of the motel, and advertising on the site. In April of last year, a couple from Rhode Island was arrested on prostitution-related charges where the two advertised on backpage.com and met clients at the EconoLodge.
In July, Attorney General Maura Healy called for backpage.com to remove its adult section, stating “As we have seen through our office’s work, Backpage.com and the internet have become increasingly popular vehicles for commercial sexual exploitation.”
