2 Charged After Stopping To Fight In Fast Lane On I-95: PD

Road rage took over, causing a 46-year-old Dorchester man and a 21-year-old Attleboro to get out of their cars and argue in the fast lane.

NORWOOD, MA — Two men were cited Tuesday after stopping their cars in the fast lane on Interstate 95 to get in a shouting match, according to police. Police told WHDH News that around 9:30 a.m., a 46-year-old Dorchester man cut off a 21-year-old Attleboro man.

After the Attleboro man honked his horn, police said the Dorchester man threw a cup of coffee at the other driver's pickup truck. The Attleboro man then threw a water bottle before both drivers stopped in the fast lane and began arguing, police said. According to police, the Attleboro man had a steel bar in his hands during the argument.

The men got back in their cars and drove away, but State Police later pulled both drivers over. The Dorchester man was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, and operating with a revoked registration. The Attleboro man was charged with disorderly conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon.
