Norwood Police Chief Profiled For New Spin To Old School Approach

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood Police Chief Bill Brooks may like to keep it old school by walking the beat, but that doesn't mean he shies away from new approaches as well.

WBZ recently profiled Brooks for his mix of old and new school policing. He said while he still walks the beat to hear what people have to say, he'll jump on the Norwood Police Dqepartment's social media accounts as well.

"It's another way for us to interact with those members of the public," he told WBZ.

Officers on cruiser patrol are also required to perform foot patrols.
