Norwood Police Log: July 13-14

Wednesday, July 13:

6:46 a.m. - Caller at Norwood Depot on Railroad Ave. reported his wife just got on the train and noticed a woman lying in the parking lot. Police discovered she was sleeping and was asked to move along.

11:05 a.m. - A group was hanging outside the Norwood Post Office on Central St. and were boycotting President Obama, depicting him as Adolf Hitler. Although it was offensive to a resident, police discovered nothing illegal at the time.

5:06 p.m. - Police responded to a report that the train gates were malfunctioning at Railroad Ave. and Hill St. The Department of Public Works was notified of the incident. An additional report was received at 5:39 p.m. and police shut down the road for a short time.

Thursday, July 14:

1:29 a.m. - Caller near Rojo Carwash on Boston Providence Highway complained of music coming from the P.A. system all day and night. Police spoke to the employee working who said someone would shut off the music.
