Norwood Police Log: July 26-27

Highlights from the daily police log.

Tuesday, July 26:

9:01 a.m. - Police receive a report from U-Haul on Boston Providence Highway that a man did not return the vehicle on time. The person apparently was a regular customer and this was out of character. Officer spoke with the man who said he would return it later in the evening.

1:42 p.m. - The Electric Light Department responded to a traffic light problem at the intersection of Washington and Nahatan streets.

7:41 p.m. - Caller on Monroe Street reported kids gathering in the area. When an officer checked the area, nothing was found.

8:47 p.m. - Police respond to an armed robbery at the Sunoco station on Boston Providence Highway. A "be on the lookout" message was sent to patroling Norwood officers. for more information.

Wednesday, July 27:

4:10 a.m. - Callers reported trucks pulling in at a location on Lenox Street, waking up a family. Officers advised the offending party to move away or wait until morning.
