Norwood Police Log: July 7-8

Thursday, July 7:

9:57 a.m. - A truck was blocking traffic for a short time on Washington St. Workers were preparing to move the vehicle as officers arrived.

10:12 a.m. - Police responded to a report of many kids hanging out at the former Basic Rental property on Pleasant St.

5:22 p.m. - Caller on Countryside Ln. reported wires down. The Norwood Fire Department handled the incident, noting that a cable and telephone wire had fallen.

Friday, July 8:

12:07 a.m. - Caller near Norwood Central on Lenox St. said a dark colored Honda vehicle was doing donuts in the parking lot and nearly hit the curbing. The car was gone when officers arrived.

5:45 a.m. - Resident on Washington St. reported a garbage truck had woken her up. The truck was gone when an officer arrived.
