• Fitch Ratings Affirms AA- Rating for MMWEC Northeast Reliability Center Project Bonds (publicpower.org) — A major Peabody power project just had its AA- bond rating reaffirmed, helping keep financing costs low for the Northeast Reliability Center built on city-owned land. The 60-megawatt plant backs up local municipal light departments, including Peabody's, during peak demand and helps them meet aggressive state carbon-free energy targets through 2050.
