Public Warned Fireworks to Wash Ashore in Plymouth After Botched July 4th Show

Plymouth, MA — Fireworks from Plymouth's botched July 4th show Monday will likely wash ashore in Plymouth in the coming days, authorities said.
On Monday, a malfunction caused all the fireworks aboard a barge off the Plymouth waterfront to explode at once. No one was hurt.

Police said people should call 911 if they find fireworks, which are most likely to wash up on Long Beach, though they could also reach Nelson's Park, Stephen's Field, and other shore locations.

Here's the alert from Plymouth officials:
"We are asking that residents and visitors do not touch these fireworks as they could be dangerous and could result in serious injury if they were to explode. Please call and report any sightings so that the Town can properly remove and destroy them...
The Town is making every effort to clean these up immediately. However, the tides could wash up more over the next few days...
The fire on the barge during the July 4th fireworks display resulted in many of the fireworks not being exploded/detonated."
